The Charmeuses are beautiful mustaches fangs-shaped, essential attributes of the men of his time in a not so distant one.
The ones we are interested in here belonged to a certain Auguste Antonin, close friend to the Fessy family. A charismatic character with a remarkable mustache, this former vine-worker served as an inspiration for the “Les Charmeuses” range.
Maison Henry Fessy is a family business founded in 1888, it was bought in 2008 by Maison Louis Latour. This reference in Burgundy wanted to expand on neighboring regions and their terroirs full of promise. Located in Saint-Jean-d’Ardières, the Henry Fessy estate specializes in Beaujolais wines, but also craft a range with a more “southern” accent : Les Charmeuses by Auguste Antonin. It is the oenologist Laurent Chevalier, who directs and animates the small team of the property.
The vineyard of the estate covers 70 hectares on 24 different appellations. Viticulture is sustainable and respectful of the environment. Yields are strictly controlled to ensure excellent ripeness of the grapes.
